The company "Sagewerk KARL ALT GmbH&Co.KG" is one of the leading hardwood producers, located in southern Germany.The annual production reaches an amount of approximately 15.000 m³ of hardwood lumber. The raw material is exclusively sourced from ecologically sustained and certified forestry.
The private owned company mainly provides its products to the European markets as well as to the North American, Arabian and Asian markets.
Due to longterm experiences in these markets, our grading standards have been adotped to the different standards of the respective markets (f.ex. NHLA, EOS...).In addition we also offer proprietary grades adapted to each customers individual requirements, which requires extrem flexibility and know-how from our professionaly trained team of graders. On this basis, the products are provided to ex-/ importers or are sold directly to the industry (for example: furniture, wood panels, stairways and flooring.)
As standard service, we also offer add. processing steps, such as kiln drying, steaming, smoking, cut to size/widths, preplaning, in order to adapt our products as much as we can.
